Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Interventional Radiology (IR) unit at White Plains Hospital will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in an acute care setting. This role requires clinical expertise in radiology procedures, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle complex and fast-paced situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures. Monitor and manage patient conditions before, during, and after procedures.
- Procedure Assistance: Assist the radiology team during interventional procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care and procedures using the Epic charting system.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the radiology team, including radiologists and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
- Emergency Response: Respond effectively to any complications or emergencies that may arise during procedures or in the care of patients.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of interventional radiology procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage high-pressure situations and make quick decisions.
- Proficiency with electronic medical record systems, particularly Epic.
Additional Information:
- Must be willing to work in a dynamic environment with occasional on-call duties.
