Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Job Specialty: Obstetrics (OB) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (04:00 - 16:30) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years required License: IN or compact license must be in hand to start Certifications: BLS, ALS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (Advanced also acceptable) Must-Have: Triage, circulate, telemetry, nursery experience preferred Job Description: - Work in the Labor and Delivery unit, providing care for mothers and newborns. - Maintain staffing ratios of 1:2 couplets, ensuring high-quality care. - Handle various procedures, including circumcision, external version, and C-section. - Operate equipment like Panda warmers with built-in Neo-puff and Philips fetal monitoring with wireless capability. - Utilize the OB hemorrhage cart as needed. - Work every other weekend and holidays; no on-call requirements. - Must have experience with a Level 1 nursery and Level 1 OB/delivery settings. - An experienced LDRP nurse is preferred, but labor and delivery experience is required. - Floating is expected within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals. - Orientation includes 12 non-billable hours. - Comply with vaccine requirements; COVID-19 vaccine not required, flu vaccine status unknown.
