Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Labor & Delivery Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Guaranteed Hours: 36 weekly Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience License: RN License Certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE, IFM Must-Have: Experience in Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum Job Description: - Work in a 47-bed acute care facility providing major healthcare services to the area. - Care for patients in the Labor and Delivery unit with a focus on obstetrics and neonates. - Implement care based on AWHONN guidelines, managing up to four postpartum couplets. - Utilize equipment such as Corometrics Labor Carts and electronic health records with systems like OBIX and MedHost. - Participate in float requirements as necessary across units. - Maintain effective communication with patients and healthcare team members to ensure high-quality care. - Dress is professional scrubs, with no specific color requirement. - Street clothes are considered unacceptable attire during working hours. - Preferred experience includes working in a Special Care Nursery. - Engage with a patient population that includes neonatal and obstetrics care. - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to manage labor and postpartum processes effectively. > Note: This role involves required weekend hours with no call requirements.
