Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Job Specialty: Labor and Delivery Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 6:40pm - 7:15am, 12 hr Nights - 36 Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery License: Registered Nurse license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: Strong experience with high-risk pregnancies and complex patients Job Description: - Work in a Level II Trauma Center with a Level III NICU, handling a mix of high-risk pregnancies, laboring patients, scheduled inductions, and scheduled cesarean sections. - Manage a patient load including magnesium sulfate patients, preterm labor patients, diabetic patients, and those with postpartum hemorrhage. - Circulate cesarean sections, provide mother-baby couplet care, and assist with high-risk situations such as shoulder dystocia and emergent c-sections. - Utilize GE Corometrics Fetal Monitors, Novii, and Space Labs for monitoring fetal health. - Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for mother and baby. - Follow AWHONN guidelines for patient ratios and adjust as necessary based on staffing levels. - Participate in weekend rotations, holiday coverage, and occasional floating to the Mother Baby unit. - Scrubs will be provided, and orientation will include shifts in Labor and Delivery and Mother/Baby units.
