Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Nursing - Registered Nurse Job Duration: 12 months Shift: 3-12 hour shift, 6pm-630am, works 5 out of 6 weekends Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years acute care experience License: Current Iowa licensure as a Registered Nurse Certifications: Healthcare Provider BLS certification, ACLS certification preferred, Mandatory Abuse Reporter Certification within 6 months of hire Must-Have: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English well Job Description: - Provide direct patient care under limited supervision - Plan, direct, and evaluate total nursing care for Med-Surg patients - Maintain satisfactory relations with other departments and shifts for continuity of care - Incorporate Mission, Vision, and Core Values into department operations - Wear appropriate apparel and display nametag for identification - Administer medications and intravenous solutions skillfully and accurately - Maintain accurate and complete recording and reporting of patient information - Prioritize workload and modify plan of care based on patient/family responses - Support and enforce infection control policies and procedures - Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel - Maintain professional patient confidentiality and display concern and initiative - Attend meetings and in-services as required - Perform other duties as assigned
