Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Medical Surgical Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 1 year required (2 years preferred) in medical/surgical License: Michigan RN License (pending license acceptable, must provide ETA) Certifications: BLS (AHA) certification (pending acceptable, please confirm willingness to obtain) Must-Have: - Must be willing to work with a variety of staff (i.e., RNs, LPNs, Techs, etc.) - Ability to float to other Med/Surg units as needed - Flexibility to work every other weekend - Must be available the entire week of orientation - Flu Vaccine required (medical exemptions only) Job Description: - Offer 36 or 48-hour contracts. - Expected to float to other Med/Surg units based on needs, typically once per week. - Will see a mix of medical patients with possible cases involving ortho/neurovascular, cardio/pulmonary, GI surgery, urology, hysterectomies, and mastectomies. - Staffing ratio is 1:5-6 for night shifts; ratios may flex to 8 patients, with support from LPN when needed. - Must provide proof of flu vaccination upon submission. Exemption requests to be submitted within 48 hours of signing the contract. - Complete non-billable modules during orientation and annually, self-reported. - Holiday time off requests are not guaranteed as holidays are typically required to be worked. - Orientation includes 8 hours of non-billable training. Note: Background policy requires a note on the profile if there is a hit, and return staff policy requires a 6-month interval.
