Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Job Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week - 72 per pay period Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Proficiency in Telemetry and Medical/Surgical care Job Description: - Deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members. - Effectively interact with patients, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing. - Provide high-quality care to the following patient populations: Geriatric, Medical/Surgical, Adult, and Telemetry. - Work in settings where Telemetry ratios are currently 1:4 during days and 1:5 during nights, and Med/Surg ratios are 1:5 during days and 1:6 during nights. - Floating is required for all non-critical care inpatient units, including the Emergency Department if there are boarded patients. - Orientation includes self-study of Telemetry strips and passing a Basic Dysrhythmia test during the first week of assignment. - Participate in every other weekend rotation. - Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient care management.
