Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Acute Care Unit (ACU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 0630-1900 and 1830-0700; every other weekend Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in MedSurg License: - A nursing license from any state is acceptable. Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association - Complete Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) within six months of hire - National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale (NIHSS) must be completed within six months of hire Must-Have: - Fingerprinting must be submitted and cleared prior to start. - Must have MedSurg experience. Job Description: - Perform a variety of nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments. - Work independently in completing assignments guided by doctor's orders, standards of care, nursing policies and procedures manuals, and hospital policies. - Provide nursing care and support to individuals of all ages and their families in a 30-bed adult med/surg unit. - Collaborate as a member of the healthcare team, performing professional nursing duties for inpatients. - Participate in hospital services with a focus on comprehensive inpatient/outpatient emergency services, dental and ophthalmology services, orthopedics, OB/GYN, oral surgery, eye surgery, and urological procedures. - Be a crucial part of a diverse healthcare team, catering to a culturally rich community. - Orientation is available every two weeks. - Holiday coverage is required. - COVID-19 vaccine is required, with medical exemptions subject to approval by a medical review board. - Submit a housing application two weeks before the start date if needed.
