Job Description:
Certification Details- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- BLS required or obtained within 3 months of hire.
Job Details- MED SURG
- ASAP START!
- 12hr Days - weekend, holiday and call required
- 7a-7:30p
- 16 weeks
- RN should be comfortable Floating to Med/Surg and PCU
- Night Shift, 13 week assignment, possibly longer
- Traveler should have completed at least 1 successful traveler assignment.
- First time travelers will NOT be considered.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Previous hospital RN experience is preferred.
- BLS required or obtained within 3 months of hire.
- Possesses a thorough knowledge of nursing principles.
- Ability to provide quality patient care, and ability to assess patient's needs, e.g. clinical, teaching, mental and spiritual.
- Must recognize safety issues to self and others and be able to assess and implement use of lifts to and move patients in a safe manner.
- Must be able to function well in stressful situations and have good, creative, problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate.
- May be required to assume duties as a charge nurse.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required.
Job Requirements- Traveler must hold CURRENT NY license.
- Coronary Care experience needed as well.
Schedule Information- 12hr Days - weekend, holiday and call required
- 7a-7:30p
- 13 and 16 week assignments
Unit Specific Information- RN should be comfortable Floating to Med/Surg and PCU
