Job Description & RequirementsGross Weekly $2,326.00 Hourly taxed $30.00 OT $70.00 Stipends $1,246.00 Combined Hourly $64.61 1. General job duties. Types of procedures required. Types and ages of patients, number of rooms: Critical access facility2. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.) What equipment is attached to the clinic, x-ray, lab or do they have to send out for these? What hospitals will have privileges if any? We use EPIC for our computerized documentation and OBIX to archive our EFM strips.3. Required skills and minimum years of experience. Skills may include anything from Surgical (Ortho, Neuro, CV, etc.) Family Practice, Cardiology, Geriatrics, etc. Prior experience in labor, delivery, postpartum and nursery/newborn care required. Prior experience with basic medical/surgical patients required.4. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (BLS, ACLS, NCCPA/AANP) Is a national certification required? Is a DEA, Prescriptive Authority required? Must be NRP and BLS certified; STABLE and ALSO certifications preferred, but not required. Must have proof of Basic Electronic Fetal Monitoring course completion, Intermediate preferred but not required. We are working towards our Baby Friendly Hospital Designation so knowledge and training with the BFHI would be preferred, but also not required.5. Shift or schedule requirements. (What support staff are in the clinic; Is a doctor available by phone, in the clinic, etc.) Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required? Will be required to work every 3rd weekend and every other holiday during assignment. Schedule will be rotating 8 and 12 hour shifts, primarily evenings and nights with the possibility of an occasional day.6. Number of patients in a day; who do they have as support staff? Number of patients per day varies; we have approximately 250 deliveries per year. Each shift is scheduled with 2 RNs or 2 RNs and 1 CNA. While the traveling RN is on assignment with us, the RN she is scheduled with will always be in house and immediately available.7. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only): One-on-one with a labor patient during active labor, oxytocin infusion, and epidural infusion, initiation of magnesium infusion.8. Dress Code: Hospital supplied and laundered scrubs.9. Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program.
