Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) for holiday coverage at our facility in Rochester, NY. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on minimizing requests for time off (RTO) during the holiday season.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans.
- Monitor and manage patient conditions, administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding care and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
- Licensure: Current and valid RN license in New York State.
- Certification: BLS through American Heart Association (AHA).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Availability: Candidates must be flexible with scheduling and willing to minimize RTO during the holiday period.
