Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Acute Care MedSurg Job Duration: 17 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty License: Not required at submission Certifications: BLS required, NIHSS required (both must be AHA) Must-Have: Experience in Meditech preferred Job Description: - Work within a 44-bed unit staffed with 40 professionals. - Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5, potentially up to 1:6. - Coordinate with dedicated nurse aides, generally 1:8, sometimes 1:10, who may function as sitters. - Start shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, all being 12-hour shifts. - Commit to working every other weekend and as needed for holidays. - Wear Caribbean Blue scrubs during shifts. - Work with telemetry monitored on a different unit. - Be flexible to float across all acute care and cardio units to care for medical patients, or to accommodate patient holds. - Participate in a general orientation lasting 1 week, including EMR training, followed by 2 days of floor-specific orientation.
