Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Post Partum, NICU / Neonatal ICU, LDRP Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating/3x12s - Nights Guaranteed Hours: 24 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience required License: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado or from a validcompact state required Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Must-Have: - Minimum of Associate Nursing Degree for positions hired after 07/01/2018 - Working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English Job Description: - Responsible for caring for antepartum patients, laboring patients through childbirth, recovery, postpartum, lactation education and assistance, and providing family-centered care, including the well newborn and the Level 2 Nursery. - Assure expert, compassionate, individualized nursing care for patients and families. - Collaborate with providers, staff, and other team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes. - Oversee daily patient flow to optimize care, safety, and satisfaction. - Triage incoming patient requests for services. - Deliver patient education to facilitate the plan of care, informed healthcare choices, and optimal wellness. - Delegate care appropriately according to state statutes. - Demonstrate competent healthcare assessment skills, prioritizing skills, and critical thinking skills. - Handle high volume of patient requests for medications, information, and assistance via telephone. - Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist in procedures as needed, consistently adhering to patient safety guidelines. - Coordinate patient care with other physician practices and entities as needed to achieve the highest possible level of patient care and satisfaction. - Work independently with minimal supervision. - Deliver excellent service by utilizing Relationship-Based Care to advocate for safety, patient preferences, and optimal communication through partnering with patients and families. - Model principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values. - Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant. Note: This position requires providing patient care and is expected to perform under stress and meet deadlines while working with others. It involves physical demands typical in a healthcare environment.
