Title: RN- OR Location: Brooklyn, NY Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 in a week Shifts: Afternoons Start: 01/06 Responsible and accountable for utilizing the nursing process in the provision of patient care. The operating Room Nurse is responsible for the planning, execution, conducting and evaluating of both direct and indirect nursing care to surgical patients. The duties range from preoperative interventions to post-operative assessments that could help meet a patient's need throughout the operative care DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Performs assessment/data collection in an ongoing systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, cognitive, and cultural diversity of the patient. · Determines mobility, sensory deficits, prostheses use, and skin condition and adjusts plan of care, as appropriate. · Responsible for supervising and directing patient care in the operating suite while ensuring proper techniques are used. · Maintains count on sponges, needles and other instruments used in the operating room. ·
