**Job Title:** Clinical Nurse - Operating Room (OR)**Job Specialty:** Ophthalmology / ENT / Plastic Surgery**Job Duration:** 13 weeks**Shift:** 9 AM - 7 PM (Weekend and holiday availability required)**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week**Experience:** Minimum 2 years of OR experience, with experience in scrub and circulate roles preferred. 1 year of travel experience required for travel positions; not required for per diem positions.**License:** Registered Nurse (RN) License**Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS) required, CNOR preferred**Must-Have:** EPIC experience highly preferred; flexible schedule with weekend and holiday availability required**Job Description:**- Deliver patient care by incorporating the tenets of Relationship-Centered Care and applying the nursing process based on theory, research, and evidence-based practice.- Assess and evaluate patient care needs, applying critical thinking skills in management.- Integrate relevant assessment and intervention skills in nursing care delivery.- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams in planning and evaluating care.- Prioritize aspects of patient care, including education, rounding, and post-hospital planning.- Educate patients and caregivers on care plans, transitions, health promotion, and disease prevention.- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.- Manage assignments within the Modified Primary Nursing Care Delivery Model, demonstrating effective use of resources.- Demonstrate professional patient experiences through actions such as admission welcomes, bedside reports, and purposeful hourly rounding.- Practice safe, efficient, patient-centered care, identifying and solving barriers.- Implement process improvement strategies and participate in quality and safety initiatives.- Collaborate on quality improvement projects and nursing research studies.- Demonstrate charge nurse duties and ensure proper use of supplies through collaboration.- Advance clinical competence, adhere to ethical standards, and support lifelong learning.- Participate in specialty practice councils, nursing committees, and unit initiatives.Join our team to provide safe and competent quality care while fostering a supportive and growth-oriented environment for both patients and staff.
