**Job Title:** Registered Nurse**Job Specialty:** Pediatrics/Post-Partum Float**Job Duration:** 8-week contract with opportunity to extend**Shift:** Night 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:00)**Guaranteed Hours:** [Information not provided]**Experience:** Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required**License:** Active RN license [pending licensure will not be accepted]**Certifications:** BLS, PALS**Must-Have:** - Willingness to work every other weekend (EOW)- Ability to float to post-partum as needed- Potential to float to L&D if experience allows (not required)- Willingness to help precept new graduates on the unit**Job Description:**- Work in a Pediatrics/Post-Partum Float setting with patient ratios of 1:6.- Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric and post-partum patients.- Perform special procedures such as hysterectomy, C-sections, BTL, vaginal delivery, usage of bili lights, and IND.- Utilize special equipment including Doppler.- Document patient care using Pyxis and MedHost documentation systems.- Adhere to work schedule, including on-call as needed.- Assist in precepting new graduates without additional preceptor pay.- Comply with COVID-19 and flu vaccine requirements, with medical/religious exemptions allowed.- Wear preferred scrubs in hot pink or turquoise blue; distinguish unit with a pink badge.- Provide all requested time off information during initial submission for managerial approval.
