**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Behavioral Health - Inpatient **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** Days, 12 hours (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM), Every Other Weekend/Holiday rotation required **Guaranteed Hours:** 24 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum 2+ years of Behavioral Health Unit experience **License:** New York State Nursing License **Certifications:** BLS, CPI (Crisis Prevention Training) **Must-Have:** EPIC experience, De-escalation Training (CPI or equivalent), Recent travel experience **Job Description:** - Manage a patient ratio of approximately 1:9, depending on the census.- Work with adult and geriatric patient populations with an average stay length of 5-7 days.- Implement de-escalation techniques to handle agitated patients effectively.- Maintain reliable attendance with no concerns regarding call-outs.- Ensure all certifications and licenses are current and uploaded with the profile.- Experience with Pediatric, Adolescent, and Adult Patients is required.- Utilize Cerner electronic medical records for efficient documentation of patient care.- Attend a non-billable orientation lasting 8 hours.- Wear personal scrubs of any color (no designs or cartoons); hoodies are prohibited. - Must provide work history and a skills checklist pertinent to the position, current within one year.- Include at least one supervisory signed reference from employment within the past two years. - Required to be available for at least two out of the next three upcoming holidays as needed. - Strongly encouraged COVID-19 vaccinations, although not mandatory.
