Weekly Pay Range - $2246 To $2496 Job Title: Crisis Intervention Nurse Job Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Crisis Intervention Job Duration: 34 weeks Shift: Night - 5x8 - 4pm-12am, 40 Hours - 1 nurse will work Sunday-Thursday - 1 nurse will work Tuesday-Saturday Guaranteed Hours: 25.00 hours per week Experience: Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills; courses in mental & behavioral health required License: New York State RN License, Primary Source Verification Certifications: AHA BLS Must-Have: English proficiency (Read, Write, Speak) Job Description: - Engage individuals experiencing homelessness in city streets, subways, and parks. - Conduct medical, mental health, and safety assessments. - Encourage individuals to seek available city shelter services. - Conduct street-level mental crisis assessments alongside outreach teams. - Evaluate mental health conditions to assess risks of harm to self or others. - Determine appropriate crisis response and collaborate with law enforcement for safe transport if necessary. - Collaborate on discharge planning and continuum of care with outreach teams. - Provide medical attention, document, and assess in the field or office. - Confer with hospital staff and clinicians regarding assessments and treatment. - Obtain approval to operate as part of a mobile crisis outreach team. - Maintain and update records promptly.
