Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - Med/Surg Tele Shift: Nights / 7p-7a, 12x3, 36 hrs per week, EOW
Length: 13 weeksAt least 1 holiday based on how the rotation goes, travelers will not work every holiday
Requirements: - ME license
- 1 year of Telemetry Level RN experience
- Cardiac Rhythm interpretation, Insulin gtts, Cardiac gtts, central lines, BiPaps, traches, chest tubes, wound care, initiation of blood products, CIWA protocol skills required
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS preferred
- NIHSS preferred
Other Details: - Charting System: Cerner
- First-time traveler accepted
- Patient ratios: 1:5, both shifts, acuity dependent (normally very low acuity patients)
- Beds: 10 M/S, 5 Tele, 4 ED
- No floating
- Patient Ratios: RN - 1:5, both shifts, acuity dependent (normally very low acuity patients)
Support on the Unit:- Charge nurse: Yes, carries patient assignment
- Phlebotomy? yes
- House manager assists with patient care if on duty
- Nurse Manager - carries patient assignment if on duty and available
- No RTs in hospital
Patient Types:- Age ranges include: Adolescents to Geriatrics
- Common diagnoses: abdominal pain, GI/GU complaints, CHF, chest pain, COPD, respiratory illnesses, seizures, ETOH withdrawal, post-op
