TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Wilmington, North Carolina, 28401 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Cardiac Medical Telemetry Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: NC or Compact license required by start date Certifications: ACLS required, NIH preferred Must-Have: - Telemetry and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience - Interpretation of dysrhythmias and remote monitoring - Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery, and Sheath Removal experience - Ability to access ports, administer blood products, manage central and PICC lines - Experience in titrating cardiac drips such as Diltiazem and Amiodarone - Post cardiac cath experience Job Description: - Provide care for patients with diagnoses including Congestive Heart Failure, Arrhythmias, and post-cardiac catheterization - Administer and monitor cardiac drips (e.g., Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem) - Perform specialized procedures such as sheath pulls, manage TR Bands, and Femstop - Collaborate within a team and float to different units as needed based on skill sets and patient census - Maintain accurate documentation through electronic systems (e.g., Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR) - Ability to work 5-6 weekend shifts, equating to every other weekend - Participate as a member of the Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team, reporting during emergencies - Complete a unit orientation of 24 hours Additional Requirements: - Pass EKG testing prior to start - Comfortable working in a high-stress environment and adaptable to changes - Scrubs required: Navy - Must complete all modules prior to start (8-10 hours for Acute Roles, 4-5 hours for Non-Acute Roles) - Follow fatigue policy: Cannot work more than 5 days in a row and/or more than 60 hours in a week.
