**Job Title:** Physical Therapist, Sports Medicine**Job Specialty:** Therapy**Job Duration:** 13 weeks**Shift:** Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM Tuesday, Thursday: 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM**Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified**Experience:** Minimum 1 year of experience preferred**License:** Current Physical Therapist licensure required**Certifications:** BLS certification required**Must-Have:** - Doctorate, Masters, Bachelors, or Associates Degree in Physical Therapy - Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills - Organizational skills - Accountability and skills in assessment/evaluation, decision-making, and time management **Job Description:** - Assess and treat neuromusculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory systems by physical or mechanical means to maintain or restore function impaired by injury or disease. - Provide pain management and promote mobility and health as prescribed by the referring physician. - Develop, implement, and monitor the plan of care for the person served. - Perform and direct the administration of all physical therapy modalities. - Collaborate throughout the process with the patient, their family, and the interdisciplinary team. - Maintain a clean, well-lighted, ventilated smoke-free environment while being aware of potential exposure to communicable diseases, combative patients, and hazardous chemicals. - Be prepared to lift, position, and transfer patients; manipulate occupied equipment, and lift supplies or equipment up to 50 lbs. - Be mindful of potential physical strains resulting from lifting heavy patients and equipment.
