Travel Registered Nurse -Operating Room Alma, Georgia, United States - 31510Job Title: Travel Nurse - OR Surgical/Circulator Number of positions: 1 Shift: Day shifts- 36 hours (weekends rotating) Duration: 8 weeks Start Date: 06/12/2023 Hourly Pay: $65 OT: 1.5 Weekly pay: $2,340 JOB DESCRIPTION A 25-bed, general, acute care hospital, is accredited by The Joint Commission and provides adult and pediatric medical care, surgery and obstetrics. This person is responsible for the direct and indirect nursing care of patients in the OR, Outpatient and Endoscopy. The OR nurse / OR RN also serves as patient educator, circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse. Circulating OR nurses work within the operating suite but outside of the sterile field. Scrub OR nurses handle and prepare operating instruments and equipment within the sterile field. Two operating rooms:
- General surgery
- OB/GYN surgeries
- Orthopedics and podiatry
- Endoscopic procedures
- Ophthalmology
- Pain management interventions
Endoscopy Unit:
- EGD
- Colonoscopy
- PEG tube insertion
- Push Enteroscopy
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of operating room nursing experience.
- Active unencumbered GA Nursing (RN) license
- Associate Degree - Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
- BSN preferred
- Proficient in computer use, the Internet and health information technology.
- Demonstrated excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, with a flexible and creative approach to problem solving.
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently as well as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
Skills/Abilities: Good interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to work with detailed, confidential material, computer experience required. Ability to follow directions and work with precision under pressure. Maintains sensitivity, maturity, and flexibility in coping with difficult situations.
