TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Rehab RN in Kankakee, Illinois, 60901 Pay Information $2,110 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Medical Surgical - Rehab Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Day Shift, 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 1 year of inpatient acute rehab experience required; previous travel experience highly preferred. License: Must have an active Illinois license. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; rehabilitation certification is a plus. Experience with QIM preferred. Must-Have: - Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system. - Valid driver's license. Job Description: - Care for patients with various medical conditions, including post-operative cardiovascular surgeries, falls, knee surgeries, back surgeries, strokes, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and some post-acute COVID cases. - Responsible for managing nurse-to-patient ratios, typically 1:6-8 depending on patient acuity. - Coordinate with a clinical prescreening process; hiring decisions are made within 24 hours without the possibility of a second interview. - Administer treatments such as intravenous fluids (IVF), electrolytes, antibiotics, and blood products (no titration of drips required). - Collaborate without continuous telemetry monitoring; there are no tele/monitor techs on this unit. - Work alongside a team that includes techs responsible for ADLs, vitals, and shower assistance. - Operate within a schedule created by the team lead/manager with potential for block scheduling. - Work weekends and holidays as required. - Provide coverage in medical-surgical settings as needed. - Follow standard attire guidelines with Caribbean Blue scrubs. - Participate in a 12-hour orientation shift with a preceptor.
