Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected;
- Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care;
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals;
- Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department;
- ssists physicians during examinations and procedures;
- Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse;
- Performs a variety of tasks;
- Communicate and educate patients and families;
- ssesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team;
- Carries out physician orders;
- dministers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, monitors vital signs;
- Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required;
- Monitors, records and communicates patient condition;
- ssesses, and plans for the care of assigned patients.
Qualifications:
- n Associate Degree from an accredited school of Nursing, BSN preferred;
- Current Pennsylvania RN licensure;
- Previous RN experience, preferred;
- Current BLS Certification.
