RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sterile Processing Techs (SPT) clean, decontaminate, and sterilize general and specialty surgical instruments, power equipment, and endoscopes in accordance withtheManufacturers InstructionsForUse (MIFU).SPT job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Providesupplies as needed for surgical procedures
• Inspect, package, and reassemble surgical instruments and trayswith a count sheet
• SPT practiceHigh-LevelDisinfection, Pre-Vacuum Sterilization, Gravity Displacement Sterilization, and Hydrogen Peroxide Plasma Sterilization techniques in accordance with MIFUs
