About The Position**Job Title:** Sterile Processing Technician**Job Specialty:** Sterile Processing**Job Duration:** 8 weeks**Shift:** 7.5 hours, 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM**Guaranteed Hours:** 37.5 per week**Experience:** One year experience**License:** None required**Certifications:** Sterile processing certification (CRCST)**Must-Have:** High School Diploma or equivalent**Job Description:**- Proficiency in reprocessing laparoscopic instrumentation.- Use SynergyTrak for instrument tracking, handling 40-60 cases per day.- Disassemble, clean, sterilize, reassemble, and package orthopedic and general surgical instruments and sterile supplies according to specifications and department protocols.- Operate instrument washers, cart washers, autoclave sterilizers, dryers, ultrasonic machines, steam and ethylene oxide sterilizers, heat sealers, and other equipment during sterilization procedures.- Adhere to instrument count sheets for surgical sets and case carts.- Retrieve used trays, instruments, and equipment from various surgical and clinical hospital areas for decontamination.- Examine instruments and patient care equipment for cleanliness, proper assembly, and functionality. Identify malfunctioning items, record related information, and promptly notify a supervisor or biomedical engineer.- Assist in ordering, stocking, and maintaining department inventory levels.- Perform required duties to maintain a contaminant-free work environment.- Ability to lift/carry 25 pounds required.- Manual dexterity, ability to stand, bend, lift, and/or reach for extended periods required.- Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing) and follow oral and written instructions required.- Scrubs provided, along with separate footwear for hospital use versus outside shoes.9373908EXPPLAT
