Travel Sterile Processing Technician (Rochester, NY)
Compensation:
- Total weekly compensation: $1,066.00
Pay Breakdown:
- Weekly stipend: $490.00 (non-taxable)
- Weekly pay rate: $576.00

Duties:
- Process and sterilize surgical instrumentation from the Operating Room (OR) and off-site locations.
- Ensure proper cleaning, decontamination, and sterilization of medical instruments and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and inventory.
- Inspect instruments for functionality and report any issues or needed repairs.
- Assemble and package surgical instrument sets according to established guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with all infection control policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with OR staff to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with sterilization equipment.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician preferred.
- Proficiency in sterilization techniques and processing of surgical instruments.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure high standards of cleanliness and sterility.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with medical office procedures and electronic health records systems.
Requirements:
- Certification in Sterile Processing (e.g., CRCST, CBSPD) preferred.
- Ability to be flexible with time schedule and location within the Rochester area.
- Call required approximately every 3rd weekend, from Saturday 8 AM to Monday 8 AM.
