AlliedTravelCareers is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Surg Tech in Lancaster, Ohio, 43130!About The Position**Job Title:** Surgical Technologist**Job Specialty:** Operating Room / Scrub, Scrub Technologist, Surgical Technologist, Open Heart Surgery**Job Duration:** 13 weeks**Shift:** Days**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 per week**Experience:** Minimum of 3 years**License:** Not specified**Certifications:** CPR certification, Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required**Must-Have:** High school graduate or equivalent, graduate of an accredited surgical technician program, prior operating room experience preferred**Job Description:**- Work Monday to Friday with call shifts typically 2-3 times a week; weekend call every 3rd weekend.- Provide assistance in the operating room under the supervision of surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses.- Care for patients during surgical procedures in both ambulatory and hospital settings.- Collaborate with co-workers in the implementation of care, ensuring optimum levels of care during patient transitions.- Enhance positive relations with patients, families, hospital, and medical staff.- Share knowledge with team members and support new roles and staffing needs.- Maintain a safe environment to facilitate the achievement of organizational goals.- Prepare the operating/procedure room and surgical equipment.- Communicate with patients and practitioners for pre-operative planning.- Provide age-appropriate care ensuring respect for patient rights and privacy.- Pass tools to surgeons and assist with equipment during operations.- Assist in patient transfer and positioning for procedures to prevent injury.- Participate in safety protocols like physician-led time-out procedures.- Initiate emergency procedures in collaboration with the physician including Basic Life Support.- Evaluate and assess interventions, participating in the briefing/debriefing process.- Foster a continuous improvement approach using methodologies like Six Sigma.- Attend unit, division, or committee meetings as designated.- Ensure equipment and supplies are available and report malfunctions.- Participate in yearly competency evaluations to maintain the position.**Physical Requirements:**- Heavy work, including exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 25 to 50 pounds frequently, and 10 to 20 pounds constantly.**Knowledge and Skills:**- Good clinical skills in both ambulatory and inpatient care settings.- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.- Problem-solving capabilities and the ability to handle multiple priorities.- Capacity for independent decision-making, collaboration, and effective communication with team members and patients.9533521EXPPLATJob RequirementsRequired for Onboarding
