Job Title: Certified Operating Room Technician / Surgical Technician (CST) Job Specialty: Surgical Services Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (09:00 - 17:30) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: 2 years required License: New York license in hand Certifications: BLS, NBSTSA Must-Have: - Availability for weekend coverage as needed - Call required - Compliance document submission by the specified deadline - Completion of required Stroke CEUs for specific roles (except those in OR) - Completion of CPI for ER at the facility if applicable Job Description: - Provide assistance during surgical procedures under the supervision of surgeons and registered nurses. - Prepare and maintain a sterile environment. - Set up surgical instruments and equipment. - Ensure all supplies and equipment are accounted for before and after surgery. - Follow precise infection control procedures. - Participate in the orientation program scheduled once a month. - Adhere to strict compliance and credentialing processes, including passing required exams with specified minimum scores. - Comply with COVID-19 and flu vaccination requirements, with a medical exemption as the only exception. - Work in a smoke-free facility. - Adhere to the non-negotiable shift schedule.
