Certification Details BLS Department: OR (Tech) Certifications Required: BLS Job Details A hospital in Central Nebraska is in need of a Surgical Tech to work a 13-week travel assignment. The tech will be working 8 to 10-hour days with some call being required. Job Requirements Staff must be well versed on all surgical procedures since we don't have specialized teams for each service line. Schedule Information Shifts & Scheduling: 0630-1500, all staff are scheduled 5 days a week. Weeknight/Call Requirements: 1 night a week on call. Weekend/Call Requirements: Every 5th or 6th weekend (Sat/Sun) on call. Holiday/Call Requirements: Rotating holiday call. Unit Specific Information of Suites: 7 ORs, 2 Endo suites How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 1 week in the OR Additional Details Common Cases include adults, geriatrics, pediatrics, obstetrics, neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic, GYN, general, Davinci robotics. There is a Charge Nurse on each shift, and the charge nurse takes an assignment. Floating Requirements include pre/post-op and ER for trauma cases. Scrub Color/Dress Code is provided. Unit Department Specific Orientation: 1 week in the OR. Core staff here have a lot of longevity in the hospital and department. Comradery and teamwork is exceptional and commitment to safety is taken very seriously. Attributes that will help make a nurse successful include flexibility to varied daily surgical schedule, teamwork, willingness to share experiences and educate others. Radius Rule: 50 miles, candidates may not be part-time or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13-week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
