About The Position**Job Title:** Endoscopy Associate**Job Specialty:** Contract**Job Duration:** 24 months**Shift:** Monday – Friday; 12 PM – 8:30 PM**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week**Experience:** Endoscopy experience or experience with procedural setup/breakdown such as OR, IR, or Cardiac Cath Lab (within the past two years)**License:** Not specified**Certifications:** American Heart Association ACLS and BLS required**Must-Have:** Excellent organizational skills; familiarity with standard concepts and practices of endoscopic clinical procedures; high school diploma or GED required; college courses in sciences preferred**Job Description:**- Perform and record patient's vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respirations.- Document intake and output and other data as assigned.- Report changes in patient condition or abnormal values to the registered nurse.- Set up equipment for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and assist physicians and RNs with procedures such as Upper Endoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, manometry, spyglass, 24 hr pH, and Bravo.- Check equipment function and cleanliness for use during procedures; clean, disinfect, and/or sterilize equipment and accessories according to Infection Control guidelines.- Maintain logs of all processing activities and schedule filter changes for equipment.- Troubleshoot equipment and scope problems and arrange for repairs as needed.- Perform clinical procedures, including specimen collection, EKG, post-mortem care, and maintenance of skin integrity.- Assist patients with activities of daily living, ambulation, and mobilization.- Maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment; assist with room maintenance and patient transport when needed.- Perform critical alarm checks on medication and nutrition refrigerators, call bells, and eyewash stations.- Test procedure rooms for negative pressure and conduct daily inventory of supplies, ensuring orders and removal of outdated items.- Greet visitors and answer telephones courteously; escort visitors and provide information as appropriate.- Perform other related duties as required, including greeting visitors, answering telephones, and performing discharge bed making.9623826EXPPLAT
