About The PositionJob Description & RequirementsCardiovascular Interventional Technologist - (Cardio - CI Tech - CVIT)StartDate: 12/10/2024Available Shifts: 12 DPay Rate: $1956.34 - $2254.05VIT needed asap for 12 weeksMonday-Friday and take at least 14 days of callMust Have RCISWorks in cardiac catheterization lab, assisting cardiologists and vascular physicians with catheter based cardiac and vascular diagnostic and interventional proceduresLab has balloon pump, Impella, IVUS, iFR/FFR and perfrom TAVR, PFO closures, Watchman, EKOs, and do atherectomy with CSI, RotaPro and laser; in addition to angiography and balloon/stentingRequired Minimum Education: Vocational/ Technical DegreeSpecialty/Major: RCIS, Radiology Tech and / or accredited Electrophysiology program.BLSPreferred Education: 4 year/ Bachelors DegreeMust have analytical abilities necessary to monitor and assess patient's condition. Must have analytical abilities necessary to perform calculations for diagnosis and treatment of cardiac abnormalities. Must have analytical abilities necessary to recognize normal and abnormal ECG and to monitor several sources of data to make quick and accurate decisions as to status of patient. Must have interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients and their fears, their families, physicians and various medical personnel. Must be able to calculate drug dosages and administer medication appropriately. Must utilize all PPE including lead apron and thyroid shield Mechanical ability to operate / maintain complex electrical equipment and recording devices, and assist the physician in the cardiac laboratory and operating room environment Ability to react quickly under pressure in stressful environment. Ability to work flexible schedules and on call rotation.
