Job Title: Cardiovascular Technologist I Job Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day - 5x8 - 9am - 5pm Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours per Week Experience: Entry-Level License: Must obtain ARRT Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV) within 12 months of hire date Certifications: BLS must be current upon hire Must-Have: Associate's degree or higher, Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited educational program with emphasis in cardiovascular or radiologic technology, or successful completion of a Paramedic training program Job Description: - Work under immediate to general supervision to deliver specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and pediatric patient populations. - Provide safe, high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective patient-centric care and support services. - Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with procedures ordered by physicians. - Communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams to achieve desired clinical outcomes and service expectations. - Utilize specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment and techniques for a range of diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical procedures. - Conduct post-procedure reviews to verify completion and documentation, ensuring technical quality aligns with department protocols and accreditation standards. - Transfer images and data to archival systems, enter technical data/findings, and prepare studies for physician reporting. - Perform operator-level quality control checks, cleaning, high-level disinfecting, and other user maintenance. - Participate in continuing education, professional development, and research activities to maintain competencies and improve care and treatments. - Other duties as assigned. Skills: - Knowledge of cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology, medical imaging, and medical terminology. - Ability to work as part of a team, follow instructions, and report to work as scheduled. - Sensitivity to patients' physical and psychological needs. - Ability to maintain accurate records and work accurately with names, numbers, and codes. - Capability to draw conclusions and make appropriate recommendations. - Discretion in handling confidential information and sound judgment. - Ability to multitask and remain calm in stressful situations. - Strong initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments efficiently. - Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate attention to detail. - Core understanding of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology; familiarity with cardiovascular and/or radiologic technologies. Languages: Proficient in English (Speak, Read, Write)
