**Job Title:** Vascular Coordinator**Job Specialty:** Contract**Job Duration:** 9 months**Shift:** Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm**Guaranteed Hours:** 37.5 hours per week**Experience:** Preferred 1 year performing ultrasounds**License:** None specified**Certifications:** Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)**Must-Have:** Intermediate MS Office Suite proficiency**Job Description:**- Perform basic and advanced ultrasound scans according to established protocols.- Review interpretations from doctors, along with patient files, and monitor patients.- Assist in interventional procedures.- Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, positioning, and imaging techniques to ensure high-quality ultrasound images.- Capture images onto the PACS system and transfer them to physician workstations.- Evaluate images before releasing patients to ensure diagnostic quality.- Prepare the exam room by confirming inventory and stock before procedures.- Participate in quality control, quality assurance, and improvement activities, and document these processes.- Report equipment failure issues and document any related downtime.- Maintain cleanliness of the work area and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.- Operate and care for testing equipment diligently.- Provide patient education related to specific ultrasound studies.- Ensure the safety of patients and family members.- Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, family members, and other employees.- Perform other related duties as assigned.**Skills:**- **Required:** Proficiency with intermediate MS Office Suite.- **Preferred:** Experience in electronic health records (EHR), imaging, vascular ultrasound, infection control, documentation, patient education, inventory management, and quality assurance.**Education:** Graduate of a two-year ultrasound program with clinical and didactic education.**Languages:** Proficient in English (Read, Write, Speak)
