Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and professional X-Ray Technician (Radiologic Technologist) to join our healthcare team! The X-Ray Technician will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. The successful candidate will work closely with patients and healthcare professionals to provide high-quality imaging while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform X-ray examinations on patients according to prescribed procedures and protocols.
• Position patients correctly for imaging procedures to ensure the best quality images while maintaining patient comfort.
• Operate X-ray machines and other imaging equipment, ensuring the proper settings are selected based on the type of examination.
• Assist physicians in interpreting imaging results and help with procedures when required.
• Explain the imaging process to patients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
• Ensure patient safety by following proper radiation safety guidelines and maintaining shielding and exposure protocols.
• Prepare and maintain accurate patient records, including imaging results and other relevant medical information.
• Maintain the cleanliness and readiness of X-ray rooms, imaging equipment, and related supplies.
• Follow all infection control and safety procedures to minimize the risk of contamination and injury.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and report any malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate department.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in imaging technologies and radiological procedures through continuing education and training.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program is mandatory.
• Certification: Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred. State licensure as required.
• Experience: Previous experience in performing X-ray examinations is preferred but not required.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in operating X-ray equipment and understanding radiological imaging techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and radiographic procedures.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and ensure accurate imaging results.
  • Strong communication skills to explain procedures and comfort patients.
