A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A TRAVELLING (ON CALL) ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER

As a Traveling Assistant Project Manager, you are at the forefront of emergency mitigation and construction, partnering with leadership to understand, evaluate, and execute scopes of work across a diverse range of projects. Whether it's coordinating rapid response efforts in the wake of a disaster or overseeing the meticulous details of a construction rebuild, your role is critical to ensuring projects run smoothly from start to finish.

You manage everything from soliciting and approving proposals from subcontractors to preparing and adjusting project schedules, ensuring that all phases of mitigation and construction are executed with precision. Your problem-solving skills shine as you step in to support crews during high-pressure situations, ensuring that every challenge is met with effective solutions.

As the gatekeeper of paperwork and documentation, you maintain meticulous records that are crucial for both compliance and smooth project execution. You ensure that safety and quality are never compromised, consistently upholding the highest standards in both emergency mitigation and construction efforts.

Your proactive approach is vital in monitoring project budgets, profit margins, and schedules. You communicate swiftly and effectively with leadership, taking immediate action when necessary to keep projects on track. Acting as a central liaison between leadership, clients, subcontractors, and in-house teams, you foster collaboration and ensure that all parties are aligned in delivering exceptional results.

With a sharp eye for detail, you manage defined scopes of work, review change orders, and ensure accurate billing, all while keeping the unique demands of emergency mitigation in mind. QUALIFICATIONS

* Minimum:

* Minimum 2 years restoration/construction industry experience

* Basic industry training and IICRC certifications are a PLUS

* Intermediate computer skills - MS, Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook (Emails)

* Dependability and willingness to jump in and take action when needed

* Excellent time management skills - combined with strong communication skills

* Knowledge and experience with construction drawings, specifications, and other construction related documents including take-offs a PLUS

* High school diploma or equivalent required; Degree preferred

* Valid driver's license required - without restrictions

SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

* Must manage working in a busy, service-oriented team under stress to meet deadlines, deal with competing priorities, and demanding service requirements

* Must be able to work overtime, on weekends and able to respond 24/7

* May attend disaster sites and be near hazardous environments and conditions. Travel may be required
