ABOUT THE JOBThe Tepa Companies are seeking a Laborer to perform tasks involving physical labor at building, highway, petroleum system, and heavy construction projects, excavation, and demolition sites. The Laborer may operate a variety of equipment and instruments, in a variety of environmental settings. Job Functions:
- Load, transport, unload, and furnish project sites with materials, equipment, tools, and supplies
- Maintain a clean work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary
- Properly store construction materials
- Climb ladders and scaffolding, and lift materials
- Use hand and power tools for disassembly/assembly of system components
- Use manual and powered excavation tools/equipment
- Follow safe working procedures
- Clean and prepare job sites to eliminate possible hazards
- Perform other routine duties as directed by Foreman, Superintendents, and other supervisory personnel
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working on construction sites
- Some experience with equipment inspection and operation
- Must have physical dexterity
- Must be able to follow verbal directions
- Must be able to identify and stop unsafe work practices around jobsites that present imminent danger to others
- Must be able to identify and find different jobsite building materials, tools, and equipment in order to follow directions given by supervisor
- Must be willing to travel
- Must be able to pass a background check required to access US military installations
- Must have a valid driver's license
