These projects include dredging waterways and shipdocks to major construction and expansion projects. A majority of our work is done around Gulf Coast of Texas and Louisiana.Position OverviewWe are seeking a Traveling Quality Control Manager to oversee quality control operations for dredging projects managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations, while traveling to various project sites across the United States.Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control plans for dredging projects
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of project sites to ensure compliance with USACE standards
- Collaborate with project managers and teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of quality control activities
- Provide training and guidance to project staff on quality control procedures
- Serve as the primary point of contact for quality-related inquiries from clients and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control management, preferably in dredging or marine construction
- Previous experience with USACE projects is required to get on site
- Familiarity with dredging operations and marine construction practices
- Experience with quality control management systems, such as RMS and Procore
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel frequently to project sites across the U.S.
