Position Summary:
As a Traveling Superintendent, you will play a critical role in overseeing the successful execution of construction projects across the East Coast. You will be responsible for managing all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Oversee all phases of construction projects, from mobilization to project closeout.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and budgets.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or issues.
- Implement effective project management strategies to ensure timely completion.
Subcontractor Management:
- Coordinate and monitor subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Resolve subcontractor disputes and issues promptly and efficiently.
Quality Control:
- Enforce strict quality control standards throughout the construction process.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to project specifications and building codes.
- Implement corrective actions to address quality deficiencies.
Safety Management:
- Prioritize safety on all job sites, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
- Implement safety training programs for all project personnel.
Client Relations:
- Build strong relationships with clients and maintain open communication.
- Address client concerns and questions promptly and professionally.
- Provide regular project updates to clients.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction, preferably in industrial/manufacturing or automotive dealership projects.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera).
- Willingness to travel extensively within the East Coast region.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification.
