Overview The Tray Runner position is responsible for the delivery and pick-up of patient trays from patient units. This position is responsible for daily floor stock inventory and cleanliness of unit nourishment / utility rooms. Qualifications CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTSANSI Accredited Food Handler Certification within 30 days.SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGEAbility to follow written and oral communication. Ability to verbally communicate effectively with co-workers, nursing staff, patients and guests of the hospital. Knowledge of modified diets. Customer Service Skills. Responsibilities Re-stock food and small wares supplies according to the established par levels.Deliver or serve patient/guest meal trays in a timely manner.Keep production preparation areas clean and sanitary using the established Public Health District standards.Follow guidelines for food handling and sanitation and ensure compliance.Customer service skillsComplete dish and ware washing duties as assigned.Maintain dish room, ware washing area and tray assembly area in a clean and sanitary manner.
