This position is for 3rd shift only. Please only apply if you can work 3rd shift. Position Summary The Trayer position will be responsible for various handling activities of finished extruded product. Trayers will also identify, discard and communicate to the appropriate individual about non-conforming product and disruptions to production. - Perform individual handling of extruded product to include, but not limited to, placing tubing on clean trays, tables, boxes, or bags.
- Perform quick visual inspection of tubing as it comes off the conveyor belt.
- Understand and execute specific tasks associated with specific jobs and customer requirements.
- Notify Production Operator and/or Supervisor of noticeable product defects that deviate from specification.
- Properly fill out traying/packaging logs and other controlled documents/paperwork as needed.
- Train on new policies and procedures as dictated by customer or departmental requirements.
- Utilize specific equipment related to traying/handling/packaging as necessary.
- Perform routine work area clean-up and tray washing.
- Provide training for new team members as assigned.
- Obey all safety rules, use caution in work activities, and continuously practice safe behaviors.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions/behaviors and work-related injuries to site supervision.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

- Ability to understand specific directions, follow guidelines that are common throughout the department.
- Ability to identify product defects that violate customer specification.
- Maintain a constant focus on quality and accuracy.
- Ability to apply common sense reasoning to carry out instructions.
- Work with moderate supervision.
- Adaptable to changes in job duties and priorities as production needs demand.
- High school diploma or GED diploma.
Physical Demand
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with other trayers, production operators and supervisor.
- The employee frequently is required to stand (up to 8 hours per shift); move to different extrusion lines; use hands to handle or feel tubing; and reach with hands and arms to remove tubing from conveyor belt.
- Twisting of the torso is a frequent movement and bending at the waist may be required at times.
- Employee may be responsible for moving and/or lifting trays that weigh approximately 6 pounds when empty.
