Location: Fall River,MA, USA
PURPOSE: The Treasury Analyst will support the Chief Financial Officer in all treasury functions including the management of cash, investment portfolio, borrowings, interest rate risk and capital management. Prepares documentation that reflects the Bank's financial standing. The information compiled is issued to internal and external sources and is used to create budgets, support audits, etc. The Treasury Analyst has a general understanding of interest rate risk and the financial markets. Ensures accurate financial reporting throughout the Bank by working closely with various departments and management. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Performs treasury operations, including execution of bank transactions, investment activity, funding and debt actions • Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual treasury reports • Works with ALM consultant to provide quarterly ALCO reporting • Ensures the timely reporting of all monthly financial information and prepares the reports to assist in key decisions made by the Board of Directors and Senior Management • Provides supporting financial information to auditors and examiners during internal/external audits and regulatory examinations. • Assists in the review and input of Bank's annual budget • Other duties as assigned by Management. QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor's degree required • Banking experience and finance department experience preferred • Detail-Oriented, Self- Stater, highly motivated • Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting practices • Above average verbal & written Communication skills • Intermediate to advanced PC Skills & proficiency with spreadsheet programs such as MS Excel is essential • Working knowledge of database systems used in financial reporting; ability to create advanced templates EFFORT: • Able to meet strict deadlines • Work includes changing priorities for multiple, simultaneous projects • Essential to follow written and verbal directions. Requires occasional lifting/ carrying equipment/ boxes of up to 30 pounds within work area. • Moderate time spent communicating verbally using telephone to exchange information. • Specific vision abilities required by this job includes close vision, distance visions, ability to adjust focus. • Mental and visual acuity is a must to concentrate for long periods of time. WORK ENVIRONMENT: • Standard 40 -hour work week expected, though position may sometimes require early arrival, late departure, and/or Saturday / Sunday hours. • Office area is open space with cubicles. • Frequent distractions include overhearing coworker conversations, employees working through the area and similar interruptions.
