POSITION PURPOSE
Responsible for providing support and assistance to the VP of Treasury Management, business members and staff. Performs miscellaneous tasks as assigned. Receives telephone calls promptly and courteously to assist both members and internal staff. Projects the Credit Union's professional image, provides general Credit Union information and looks to enhance business member relationships.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
1. Assumes responsibility for the efficient, effective and accurate performance of assigned Treasury Management functions.
a. Answers questions and solves problems for business members by listening to issue, collecting data, securing answer and reporting results.
b. Coordinates and assists with documentation on business services requests.
c. Maintains department files, completes required report reviews and maintains report history for audit purposes.
2. Responsible for the effective and professional completion of business member enrollment
a. Processes and prepares business member enrollment documentation including but not limited to the enrollment form, proof of entity filing, operating agreement, resolutions, and picture identification of all signers.
b. Assists new members in understanding the account opening process including providing electronic and online education to members, ordering checks according to member expectations and confirming a smooth transition or opening of the membership.
c. Identifies potential problems with information received from members and coordinates with the necessary party to resolve the problems or missing information.
3. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective and professional business relationships with members, vendors and trade professionals.
a. Assists with questions and problems courteously and promptly.
b. Actively works to build member relationships by assisting business members regarding financial matters and by cross selling other products and services.
c. Maintains a significant level of trust and diplomacy with our vendors and business member partners.
4. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective working relations with Credit Union personnel and management.
a. Assists and supports department personnel accurately and promptly.
b. Coordinates activities with related departments and obtains or conveys information as needed.
c. Keeps Management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
d. Attends and participates in meetings as required.
5. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
a. Ensures work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
b. Completes special projects as assigned.
c. Comply with the U.S. Patriot Act and the Credit Union's Bank Secrecy and OFAC Policies and Procedures.
d. Comply with the Gramm-Leach Bliley Act and the Credit Union's Information Security program, maintaining the privacy and security of information, systems, and locations.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
1. Treasury Management functions are effectively performed in accordance with Credit Union policies and with legal and regulatory requirements.
2. Good business relations exist with members, Credit Union personnel and management. Programs and services properly and thoroughly explained and members' needs accurately assessed. Members' problems are courteously and promptly resolved. Confidentiality is consistently demonstrated in regard to member and Credit Union information.
3. Calls and inquiries are courteously and professionally handled or referred. Professional relations exist with all contacts. Confidentiality is consistently demonstrated in regard to member and Credit Union information.
4. Good working relations exist with Credit Union personnel and management and assistance is provided as needed. Management is appropriately informed.
5. Duties are efficiently, effectively, and accurately performed in accordance with established policies, standards and security procedures.
6. Good working relationships, DEI and collaborative initiatives exist with credit union personnel.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High school graduate or equivalent.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Basic understanding of business service functions.
Knowledge of related computer applications.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: One to three years of similar or related experience
SKILLS/ABILITIES: Excellent interviewing, communication and public relations skills.
Motivating, influencing and/or training others
Professional appearance and attitude.
Willing to cooperate with and assist others.
Well organized and attentive to detail.
Ability to operate related computer applications and other business equipment including
Calculators, typewriter, printer and telephone.
