POSITION SUMMARY: KEMRON, a leader in environmental consulting and remediation services, seeks an experienced Treatability Laboratory Program Manager to lead and manage all aspects of our treatment laboratory programs. This role involves overseeing complex, multi-disciplinary treatability studies, ensuring successful project delivery, managing client relationships, and working cross-functionally with internal teams. The Treatability Laboratory Program Manager will play a vital role in developing and executing treatability programs designed to evaluate and optimize environmental remediation technologies. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong leadership and program management skills and a deep understanding of environmental remediation technologies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/FUNCTIONS OF POSITION: Candidates for this position must be capable of fulfilling the following in a fast-paced, consulting-services work environment:
- Lead and manage treatability study programs from concept through completion, ensuring all deliverables meet technical and client expectations.
- Coordinate the planning, design, and execution of treatability studies for environmental remediation projects, including soil, groundwater, wastewater, and air contamination.
- Oversee project budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure program milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff, engineers, scientists, and field personnel to ensure seamless execution of treatability studies.
- Communicate with clients and internal stakeholders, providing regular updates on program status, data interpretation, and study outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality control protocols.
- Develop proposals and cost estimates for treatability study programs and actively participate in business development efforts.
- Analyze and interpret data, preparing detailed reports for both internal teams and external clients.
- Stay current on advancements in environmental remediation technologies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
NECESSARY EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in environmental laboratory settings, including at least 3 years in a program or project management role.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and managing treatability studies for remediation technologies such as chemical oxidation, bioremediation, thermal desorption, and more.
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and complex projects.
- Excellent client communication and presentation skills, with experience in delivering high-quality reports and project updates.
- Proficiency in laboratory data analysis software and tools (e.g., Excel, statistical analysis programs).
- Knowledge of relevant environmental regulations (e.g., EPA, OSHA) and laboratory safety standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, CHMM, or PE are highly desirable.
