Wound Care Nurse Position Summary
The Wound Care Nurse focuses on prevention and healing of pressure ulcers. Their role also includes the following responsibilities:
- Focuses on the communitys wound care program, working with the wound care physician.
- Oversee resident care related to the prevention and healing of pressure ulcers.
- Provide continuing education of wound care to our staff and families.
- Participate in QAPI and execute wound care assessments.
- Perform any other additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
- Maintain confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written and electronic communications.
Wound Care Nurse Requirements
- Active LPN or RN license in the applicable state
- 3 years nursing experience
- Completed Infection Control training.
