Job Description:
Tri-State Physical Therapy (TSPT), a division of Tri-State Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to help support their outpatient clinics in Seven Fields, North Hills, Robinson Township and Fox Chapel. This is a PRN position on a contracted, as-needed basis. The PRN PT contractor would assist with coverage during busy times or to cover provider vacations in any of the four Pittsburgh area office locations. Founded in 2005, TSPT provides the full range of musculoskeletal rehab including physical, occupational and hand therapy services, to ensure quality and comprehensive rehabilitation care for our patients. With a high volume of patient referrals from the orthopaedic surgeons of Tri-State Orthopaedics, our therapists dedicate the majority of their time to patient care, not marketing. Therapists utilize state-of-the-art techniques and equipment to provide each of our patients with an individualized and complete rehabilitation program. This coordination and continuity of care, with close and constant communication among our physicians and therapists, helps to enhance our patient's recovery process. TSPT has four convenient office locations with spacious gyms and advanced technology used by professional athletes, including Aquatic Therapy, Pilates, ASTYM for soft tissue mobilization and offers a variety of Sports Performance/Injury Prevention services for athletes. Because the physicians of Tri-State Orthopaedics are team physicians and sports medicine providers for local schools, we offer orthopaedic and rehabilitation care to high school, collegiate and professional athletes. We also care for injured workers, weekend warriors and our Medicare-aged seniors. We are committed to providing the highest quality patient care in an enjoyable work environment. You will be responsible for providing the professional duties of a therapist, which include but are not limited to:
  • Provide physical therapy services including patient evaluations and follow-up treatment. Develop the plan of care and revise, as necessary.
  • Assist in returning patients to optimum and productive level within the patient's capabilities.
  • Consult with physicians regarding progress and change in treatment and assist physician with evaluating level of function with the goal to achieve maximum function for every patient.
  • Perform skilled evidence-based procedures as ordered by the treating physician.
  • Prepare daily clinical notes and routine progress reports. Proficient with EMR.
  • Instruct patients and family regarding in-home exercise programs and activities of daily living.
