A law firm is seeking a Trial Attorney specializing in Personal Injury to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trial work, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to advocating for clients. Fluency in Spanish is a major plus.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handle cases from initial filing through to trial.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the litigation team.
- Take depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
- Review and oversee drafted documents from staff and associates.
- Develop trial preparation strategies and manage trial-related tasks.
- Prepare and strategize Motions in Limine and other trial documents.
- Negotiate settlements and participate in settlement/dispositive proceedings (e.g., mediations, arbitrations).
- Serve as First and Second Chair in jury trials.
- Draft and argue post-trial motions.
- Offer legal opinions and counsel to clients.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant legal experience.
- At least 5 years of personal injury litigation experience.
- Active member in good standing with the California State Bar.
- Minimum 3-5 trial experiences as First Chair.
Skills:
- Strong legal research and analytical abilities.
- Excellent legal writing and drafting skills.
- Proficient in handling law and motion work.
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple cases effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team player.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) Degree.
