A law firm in Austin, TX, is seeking an experienced Trial Attorney Manager to oversee and lead their litigation team. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of trial experience, preferably in personal injury, along with a strong background in managing plaintiff or defense litigation, trial lawyers, and trial teams. Duties:

  • Manage and supervise the firm's trial attorneys and litigation team
  • Develop and implement case strategies and trial plans
  • Coordinate trial preparation and scheduling
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide mentorship to trial attorneys
  • Ensure compliance with legal standards and firm policies
  • Oversee the quality and efficiency of trial litigation processes
  • Represent the firm in complex and high-profile cases as needed
  • Foster a collaborative and productive team environment
  • Participate in strategic planning and decision-making for the firm
  • Stay updated on legal developments, trial procedures, and industry trends
  • Requirements:

  • 10+ years of trial experience, with a preference for personal injury trial experience
  • Proven track record in managing plaintiff or defense litigation
  • Strong leadership and management skills with experience managing trial lawyers and teams
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client advocacy skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
  • Thorough understanding of leadership and management principles in a legal setting
  • Certifications:

  • Board Certification in relevant areas of law (preferred)
  • Membership in relevant professional organizations (e.g., Texas Trial Lawyers Association)
  • Skills:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of trial procedures, legal standards, and case law
  • Proficiency in legal research, case management software, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
