About this roleThe TRiO Representative is responsible for providing administrative support to the assigned grant program. Assists in coordinating department awareness events and maintains department website. Accurately updates and maintains time-sensitive records regarding Department of Education federal grant guidelines. This is a grant funded position. Continued employment is contingent upon grant funding.
What a day of a TRiO Representative looks like:
- Provides information to the public, students, and staff regarding programs and services of a department, campus, or College. Conducts informational sessions.
- Processes purchase requisitions, travel, and purchasing card transactions, prepares payroll, and assists with budget activities.
- Welcomes and assists persons who come into the department.
- Completes monthly reports including budgeting, time reporting, and student rosters. Reviews reports, documents, applications, and forms for accuracy and completeness.
- Designs, edits, and produces brochures, catalogs, newsletters, reports, flyers, posters, or certificates.
- Designs complex spreadsheets, with multiple function formulas and links.
- Performs sorts and merges, prints mass mailings, selects font attributes, and changes.
- Handles incoming, interoffice, and outgoing mail.
- Oversees and supervises the work of student assistants.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

- High school diploma or GED
- One year of related experience
Knowledge of:
- Microsoft Office Professional or similar application
Skilled in:
- Attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management
- Delivering a high level of customer service
- Performing with a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to:
- Effectively communicate verbally and in writing on a regular basis with internal and external customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations, and take responsibility for a high level of service
Licenses, Registration, Certifications, or Special Requirements:
- Regular physical attendance required
