To give our best, we hire the best.

At Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida, we believe in the power of every girl. With the right team of amazing people, we can ensure every girl reaches her fullest potential!

Our Community Programs team is seeking a Part Time Troop Facilitator who will be responsible for forming and sustaining multiple Girl Scout troops in specific geographic areas, with the goal of identifying and building the capacity and confidence of volunteer Troop Leaders who will sustain the troop when the Troop Facilitators assignment ends. Troops typically meet at various school or community sites during the evening or weekends, but some may be delivered virtually or in other locations, depending on business needs. Troop Facilitators are also responsible for compiling follow-up reports and gathering other information necessary to meet grant or sponsor requirements including accurate attendance rosters and pre and post surveys.

What we are really seeking in our Part Time Troop Facilitator roles are people that are passionate about our mission, love working with school-aged girls, can work a flexible schedule, have exceptional communication and conflict management skills, as well as knowledge of the Girl Scout Troop model.

Part Time Troop Facilitators typically work an average of a twelve-hour time commitment per week (though this can vary) and most work occurs during evenings and weekends. Hours outside of Troop Facilitation will involve communication with parents and Council staff, travel time and the preparation of status reports. Part-Time Troop Facilitators utilize technology including but not limited to Microsoft Office 365, ZOOM, Qualtrics, customer relationship management systems, learning management systems and survey software.

The objective of facilitating troops is to provide a positive atmosphere for growth in which girls will effectively learn to develop their abilities as individuals and as group members through the Girl Scout Leadership Experience programs in a traditional troop model. As a Part Time Troop Facilitator, you will be instrumental in fulfilling this objective!

Part Time Facilitator roles will be filled based on business need, and contingent upon available funding in a given fiscal year.
